Celebrate!!!

We did a little family party with pizza & cake for Sierra's BIG 3! Grandma came from New Mexico, Gigi, Nama, Mackie, Papa, & Auntie Laura.... so FUN! Thank you to all for spoiling the pants off of my "Little Peanut". She made out with some serious loot! I love her expression in this... I can just imagine her saying, "Oh my-lanta!"

On her real birthday-day, we went to Disneyland. Her highlights were meeting Tinker Bell, getting a new crown at the Princess Shoppe, and talking to Mary Poppins as she ate an ice cream cone.

This was how she started to day... yes I am serious- she IS that cute. Love you Baby!
Every princess needs RED converse of course (:

She's 3!

Yesterday was Sierra's 3 rd birthday... and what a girl she is! I am so thankful for my fun-loving fashionista. She is a true blessing to our whole family. I LOVE YOU!

Soon to post pics from our trip to Disneyland.

What is your name little boy?

Jango Fett

I got a call on Monday from Eli's school telling me he got hurt during lunch time. He and another boy slammed heads as he went down the slide.
My response-gasp- I must go get him. The secretary then tells me, as she's laughing, how hard it was to get his name. I'm thinking, what are you talking about? He can say it, spell it... Then she tells me that he gave the name Jango Fett. She was like... What? Then he said his name was Bounty Hunter... then Darth Vadar. They were laughing so hard and apparently he was stone faced. He thought he was in trouble and he was NOT copping to his name (frighteningly smart). They ultimately checked his medical ID bracelet. As a mom I don't know if it's the funniest thing ever that my son gave names from his new obsession STAR WARS... or is this a scary glimpse into my future? So far, every guy who has heard this story thinks it's hilarious(:

Huskies in the House!

September 9th, 2009- The first day of school for the kids. We prepped & practiced, discussed clothes & lunches, we got backpacks & lunch boxes, pencil boxes & nap-time blankets... So many hours were spent getting ready for this moment. So many conversations. And here we all were- 7 o'clock a.m. It was a moment of total pride for me and shear terror. (If you are a mom- you can relate.)

We are the H.C.S. Huskies and we are ready for school! Dora Backpack & lunch bag, check!

Wishing Sierra good luck and promising her that it would be fun... and that we would definitely be coming back for her. (she was a little worried... I think because I packed her so much food(:

Kindergarten... and no fear. Who knew he would be such a little man.
Lining them up on day one. I love the sign. Are they supposed to be able to read already?

Thank God I wasn't the only parent there holding on for dear life... like please don't go- stay my baby forever. And no I didn't cry... until I got to the car like any self-respecting mom would do(:
He's assuring me that it will be okay. What a stud!
When all was said and done, no bedtime kiss or story was needed. He snuck off to bed on his own. Apparently kindergarten is tough and he was wiped out and couldn't wait around for me to do the bedtime routine. It was 7:23. How precious. Sierra on the other hand wouldn't let me out of her sight. After her first day of school she slept soundly under my arm in my bed- no way was she going to be a big girl anymore. I love her even more for that(:
Ready for day #2... not quite a well-oiled machine, but we'll get there.
Happy School Year 2009-2010!
