Perfectly Eli

Laura took Eli to Disneyland for his 6th birthday & she ordered this poster for him... I love that it perfectly represents him at this stage. He is totally into all things Star Wars (of course) but also so serious about becoming BIG. He has told me numerous times lately that he can't do something or wear something that I want him to because he's too big now. Easy, buddy. You're only 6!

School in Spring

Happy Mother's Day-
A super special spring event at Sierra's school was the Mother's Day picnic. My principal let me run over real quick during our school day to have special time with my special One. I loved seeing Sierra at school... the school Sierra is silly, friendly, and she knew all the answers at story time. I'm so proud of the athletic, wild, and smart little girl that she is becoming. What picnic would be complete without strawberries?
Look what I can MAKE, mommy...

Look what I can DO, mommy...

Singing her little songs...

Eli's spring school fun has come in the way of a community service project. The job was to help a neighbor with chores. For those of you who know me & my house... we have no shortage of chores where we are... SO, his project was to learn a new chore at home. He (and Sierra) have taken the job of putting away the dishes. I am surprised he is able to put everything in basically the right places... except the knives (he has told me that only grown-ups can tough those- good thinking). He wrote a few short sentences about what he has learned and why it helpful for him to do the project. He said, "I am putting the dishes away now because my Dad is in the academy". Pretty darn good...
